Breaking gender & Racial bias in tech

As long as you meet the requirements of 50,000k per year or less, can attend all classes in person and have a passion for tech you may apply. 

At this time we only provide scholarships to women and minorities. 

You must meet the following requirements: 

•Applicants must be a minimum age of 17 years old 

•HS diploma/GED Minority male/female (Caucasian females may apply) 

•$50,000 or less personal annual reported income in the past fiscal year. 

Available to attend all sessions of the 24-week boot camp  Monday - Thursday 7pm EST-10pm EST 

Majority of our graduates have gone on to obtain entry level positions as QA Testers, SDET and SCRUM Lead. Most obtain a career as SDET (Software Developer Engineer in Test) 

The class hours are part-time (12 hours per week) Monday- Thursday from 7pm EST to 10 pm EST. However, keep in mind you will be required to attend study groups, and will have projects that will require weekend hours. Plan for about 30-35 hours per week evenings and weekends for the six months. 

We have four cohorts per year. The deadline for each cohort is as follows: 

January 25th Cohort - Must submit by January 20th 2023

April 25th Cohort- Must submit by April 20th 2023

July 25th Cohort- Must submit by July 20th 2023

October 25th Cohort- Must submit by October 20th 2023

When submitting your application you must provide a copy of your past fiscal year's tax returns.

If you are a student or mother who has never entered the workforce you may send us an email explaining why you don't have a resume. All others must provide a resume. 

The 24 week boot camp is Monday -Thursday from 7pm EST to 10 pm EST all classes are held at Tech Circle School located in Chantilly, VA. For schedule information please check https://www.techcircleschool.com

Step 1. Send a copy of your last year's tax returns, current resume, three references & one page essay describing why you think you should be a good fit for the program. Email to Ariana@parejafoundation.org

Step 2. Your essay will be reviewed by our selection committee (allow 1-3 business days) 

Step 3.  Zoom interview with our selection committee. 

Step 4.  Attend a Tech Circle School Information Session 

Step 5. Sign and send back the Breaking Bias Agreement Form.
